Sani Beach, Sani Resort

As its name would suggest, the largest hotel at the resort looks out over 7km of white sand beaches. This makes it a popular choice with visitors seeking close proximity to the Mediterranean waters.

Surrounded by pine forests - perfect for mountain biking - and near to the watersports centre, parents of teens, as well as guests who like to burn off a bit of energy after their sunbathing, will often opt for this hotel.

The choice of accommodation is diverse, making it a great spot for multi-generational travel too; where parents and their kids can dive into the two bedroom family suites, while grandparents hide from babysitting duty in a junior suite with panoramic views of the sea.

Its prime Cape Sani position means Sani Beach boasts fantastic views. What’s more, as the expansive resort’s hallmark hotel, it’s a short stroll to all of the main attractions, with its own kids’ club and crèche and two Blue Flag beaches.

For a first-time visit to the Sani Resort, Sani Beach is the perfect introduction.

All 392 rooms and suites at Sani Beach have either a balcony or garden with views of the sea, landscaped hotel gardens or lagoon-style swimming pool.

For maximum space opt for the Deluxe Two Bedroom Family Suite, sleeping up to four adults and three kids and with two large bathrooms (each with bath tub and shower). So there’s no fighting for the bathroom when you’re trying to get out the door for dinner.

As standard expect Wifi, a Bluetooth speaker, air con, hot beverage making facilities and cosy bathrobes and slippers.

Thanks to the Dine Around package guests can enjoy the restaurants across the resort.

On site at Sani Beach are four. The Veranda has an open kitchen, with a grown-up feel (for over 12’s only). It’s open for breakfast and dinner and focuses its menu on Greek dishes.

Open for all three dining times a day Poseidon Restaurant is a good choice for families with its themed buffets. Head for al fresco fusion fare – Med meets Japan – at Ammos.

Or take a culinary trip to New Orleans at the Grill by the Pool with its prime cuts served up poolside.

Sani’s largest hotel enjoys a prime resort position. Enclosed by two private beaches lapped by the waters of Cape Sani, and acres of Greek pine forest, it has nature on its doorstep.

Much of the Sani Resort’s appeal comes from its USP that all of the hotels are walking distance to one another. Sani Beach is no exception. In fact, it’s regarded as the epicentre and often chosen by guests who want to be in the heart of the resort.

Sani Resort is on the Kassandra peninsula of Halkidiki, under an hour’s drive from the airport at Thessaloniki.

Why here?

Beach babes – the hotel has two sandy beaches with the coveted EU Blue Flag award. Here there are complimentary umbrellas, towels and comfy sun beds. Parents can access the Babewatch babysitting service (half an hour of childcare for free).

Pool side – the two outdoor swimming pools are heated; there is a Splash Park for kids and the spa has its own indoor heated pool.

Family friendly – Sani Beach has its own kids club and crèche on site, with older kids able to access the Ozone Teens Club at Sani Marina, just a short stroll away, and the Sani Adventure Park which is next to the hotel.

Chill time – My Spa at the hotel has a menu of nature-inspired treatments using Anne Semonin products; two saunas; an indoor pool; beauty shop and thermal area with a steam room.

Get sporty – this hotel is home to the resort’s Sports Centre where outstanding facilities and coaching for all abilities await.

Our take

Sani’s stand-out feature is certainly its epic coastline. But did you know the resort is the only one to have been awarded Blue Flag status in all three categories: beaches, yachts and marina?

Sani Beach is a favoured hotel for families. And if the resort’s credentials needed further proof, it has just been named the World’s Leading Family & Beach Resort at the World Travel Awards... for the third consecutive year.
