Known the world over as a unique holiday destination, Travel Seen picks 10 of the best attractions to discover in Dubai…

Visiting Dubai? You lucky thing! Here are Travel Seen’s Top 10 Experiences not to be missed in the glorious sun-filled emirate…
1. Aquaventure Waterpark

Aside one of Dubai’s most iconic and favourite hotels, Atlantis The Palm, is this superb waterpark – one of the world’s largest. It’s home to 105 rides and slides, visitors can feed stingrays and swim with sharks, and there are record-breaking attractions like Blackout.

2. Ski Dubai

You might not associate a city in the desert with snow, but Ski Dubai is a great place to cool off. Located in the Mall of the Emirates there’s a snow park for kids and you can even have breakfast with the penguins.

3. Burj Khalifa

If you’ve got a head for heights then venture to the top of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa.

Situated in Downtown Dubai, the 360 degree view from 555m up will blow your mind. A great photo opportunity and a real once in a lifetime experience.

4. Deep Dive Dubai

A new attraction to Dubai, Deep Dive holds some pretty impressive statistics to its name. It has the Guinness World Record for being the World’s Deepest Swimming Pool for Diving; it holds 14 million litres of water; there are 56 underwater cameras in the pool; and it’s home to an underwater sunken city.

5. Museum of Illusions

Have a day out in Dubai that the whole family will love at the magical Museum of Illusions. Here there are 60 visual and educational exhibits to explore and enthral... with plenty that will inform and inspire young minds.

6. The Gold Souk

For something a little different, there’s the city’s Gold Souk, which just happens to be one of the oldest traditional markets in the Emirate.

These streets lined with gold glitter at every turn, and the buzzing bazaar makes for a more traditional Dubai experience for visitors to the city.

7. Billionaire Dubai

Contortionists, singers and performers will wow you at this epic event venue, Billionaire Dubai. The dining is Italian and New Asian, with an extensive champagne and wine list. Certainly one of Dubai’s best nights out.

8. Play DRB

Situated in the Dubai Mall, Play DRB is the world’s largest indoor virtual reality zone, a VR play park with more than 30 games. It’s a great place for some indoor family fun during the hottest time of the day.

9. Burj Al Arab

Deemed ‘the world’s only seven star hotel’, visitors to Dubai can now have a tour of the Burj Al Arab, even if they’re not staying at the palatial beach resort.

Part of the same group as Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf, this 90-minute tour takes guests on an exclusive walk around the luxurious corridors of the iconic sail-shaped building. Included on the walk-around are facts about the history of the Burj Al Arab and photo opportunities. And if you’re visiting with children you can book them into the kids club while you have your tour.

10. Ambassador Lagoon

The centrepiece of Atlantis, The Palm, this vast aquarium is home to 65,000 marine animals. You can dive it, you can dine beside it, you can walk through it, you can have an underwater yoga experience ‘in’ it... you can even wake up next to it in one of the resort’s exclusive signature suites!
